Agribusiness:

James Kelly of Milltown, Curraghboy, Co. Roscommon who is now 23 years of age, is a recent graduate of the Agribusiness course at GMIT and Mountbellew.  He joined the course in 1996 and completed the NCBS (Agribusiness) in 1998.  He then completed the Diploma in Rural and Agribusiness in 1999 and graduated with a Degree in Business Studies from GMIT in the year 2000.

James joined Macra na Feirme as a Training and Development Officer in the same year and has just been promoted to Agricultural Policy Officer for the organisation replacing the person who is now CEO of Macra.

 

Maeve Ryan from Nenagh completed the Diploma in Rural and Agri-enterprise recently and is now with Farm Relief Services as Recruitment and Placement Officer in the Dublin, Meath, Kildare and Louth region.  Prior to this Maeve worked with FBD.

 

Richard Grace from Co. Kilkenny was a student on the Agribusiness course in the early 1990s.  He worked as Sales Manager for Maguire and Patterson and later worked in Saudi Arabia.  He is currently employed with Boyne Valley as Accounts Manager for the Leinster area.

 

Tomas Cleary from Claremorris is a graduate of the Agribusiness course and has recently been promoted to the position of Chief Accounts Officer with Sweedish Match for the Northern Ireland area.

 

Hugh Healy from Ballinamore Bridge, near Mountbellew, graduated with a BBS from GMIT in 1998.  He is currently Sales Manager for Sweedish Match in Southern Ireland.
